Darwin International Airport
Darwin International Airport is the Northern Territory’s busiest airport and Australia’s tenth busiest airport. Darwin is served by only one airport.
The airport is located near Eaton, in Darwin’s northern suburbs, 8 kilometres from the city centre. The Royal Australian Air Force’s RAAF Base Darwin shares runways with it.
There is an international terminal, a domestic terminal, and a cargo terminal at Darwin Airport. A multitude of stores and cafeterias are located in both passenger terminals.
The airport handled 26,036 flights and 1,743,734 passengers in 2011.
